The design of Christ Cathedral church in Garden Grove, CA, by Richard Neutra and Philip Johnson stands as a remarkable fusion of modernist principles and spiritual space. Neutra’s organic connection to the environment coupled with Johnson’s bold geometry creates a captivating interplay of light and form. Having seen this religious institution through architecture studies, I had to visit myself and experience the design of two of my favorite architects down in Orange County, CA.
